Impartial document label and distribution firm EMPIRE is increasing its presence in Asia with a multi-year partnership with Cambodian music firm Baramey Manufacturing.
EMPIRE claims the alliance marks “the primary time a Cambodian music label has secured this degree of worldwide backing” and “place[s] Khmer artists for international success”.
The deal, introduced as EMPIRE celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, goals to faucet into Southeast Asia’s rising music market whereas offering Cambodian artists with entry to EMPIRE’s international distribution community and business experience.

Baramey Manufacturing, based in 2016, has developed artists together with its largest star, rapper VannDa, rapper and producer YuuHai, The Voice Cambodia semi-finalist Suzana, and breakout artist Norith, whose tune Possibly has amassed over 28 million views.
Norith and YuuHai are scheduled to carry out in Los Angeles on July 12-13.
Vanthan, one other artist on the roster, has already achieved home success together with his document Khmer Gents / Komlors Srok Khmer surpassing 104 million YouTube views, making it the second most streamed tune in Cambodian digital historical past.
In 2021, Baramey inked a deal with Warner Music Group’s distribution arm ADA to take Cambodian music to the worldwide stage. That deal lined companies together with international music distribution, digital advertising and sync licensing.
