The feedback come amid persistent stress from U.S. President Donald Trump, who has argued that Washington wants Greenland for safety. In remarks reported by The Guardian, Mr. Trump mentioned, “One thing goes to occur which might be excellent for everyone,” including that “we want it [Greenland] for safety functions, we want it for nationwide safety and even world safety.” He additionally insisted, when requested about strains on the NATO alliance, that “Nato might be very comfortable.”
