Bangladesh unrest: Air India to renew night flights to Dhaka, one-time waiver supplied to passengers

Tata Group-owned Air India has stated it’s going to function its night flights AI237 and AI238 on the Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi route on Tuesday and can supply a one-time waiver to passengers for rescheduling flights. On Monday, Air India and IndiGo had cancelled scheduled flights to and from Dhaka with instant impact as a result of unrest in Bangladesh after its PM Sheikh Hasina resigned as a result of anti-government protests. 

“As a result of prevailing scenario in Dhaka, Air India is providing a one-time waiver on rescheduling to clients, with confirmed bookings on any Air India flight to and from Dhaka between 4th and seventh August 2024, in the event that they need to take action,” stated Air India in a publish on X (previously Twitter).

“The tickets must be booked on or previous to fifth August. We want to reiterate that at Air India, the protection of our clients and crew stays high precedence. For extra data, please join with our Contact Centre at 011-69329333 , 011 69329999 or go to our web site http://airindia.com,” it added.

Until yesterday, Air India operated two every day flights from Delhi to Dhaka, Vistara flies every day flights from Mumbai and three weekly providers from Delhi to the Bangladesh capital. IndiGo operated flights to Dhaka from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.
