On July 28, 2025, Home Invoice No. 1766 was launched within the Pennsylvania Normal Meeting. The invoice proposes an modification to the act of June 2, 1915 (P.L.736, No.338), generally known as the Employees’ Compensation Act. The aim of the invoice is to require employers to supply reimbursement to a qualifying affected person who obtains medical marijuana for licensed medical use below the act of April 17, 2016 (P.L.84, No.16), generally known as the “Medical Marijuana Act.” The invoice was referred to the Committee on Labor and Business on August 4, 2025. If enacted, the act will take impact in 60 days.
